Figment Festival 2008

This weekend was the 2nd Figment Festival on Governer's Island - the image above is from the Rose Petal Pool. I think this was my favorite part, it was so beautiful, even at the end of the day when all the petals were wilted from the heat - we were all wilted. The festival itself was great, lot's of interesting people and art - it was certainly more of a family event then I expected - I thought this was going to be more like a mini Burning Man. Pretty sure all these kids will not be at the Man. All and all a fun day. To see more of the images - click the pick!

Monday was a beauty so I figured no better time then that to hop a free ferry to the new Ikea. I know a lot of people are not happy about Ikea on the waterfront but the free boat ride was awesome. The store has quite a few issues to work out yet, like their stock! How do you open in June and not have any summer items????
I'll probably take the boat more then I'll be going to Ikea...

laundry at three am...

blogger has been making me crazy with the uploading issues. don't think i haven't been running around with the cameras! but thought this image was perfect for today. I've always been behind them both... leaning hillary side, but will GLADLY support Obama!!!
